The Ghost Ship - Definitely As Advertised

Back safe and sound in Vancouver (Canada) and WOW did we ever have a good time! One thing I cannot help but remark upon was the unexpected barrage of strange, supernatural experiences all four of us encountered during our stay. I have documented my rather unsettling ghostly meeting here in a short story - it is still quite lengthy, but was the ( Read more... )

Thank you for letting us wear your creations in the show! I was actually kind of gleeful when I realized you had the perfect jewelry to go with my vintage dress--I really wanted to show off more than just the flower choker with the red dress. :) And it was lovely to finally meet you, after seeing you 'round the 'net all this time.

oh dear!

Your tale is something else. SCARY.
You have me rethinking some of the things I had going on around me I passed off as being too drunk and too tired and letting my imagination getting away from me.

I swear I hardly slept on the ship because of all the rif raff going on. Gah.

It was good chatting with you though!
xoxo

My problem was I hadn't drank all the much (yet still I managed to blow most of my experiences off as caused by some mundane thing or other). It was only last night that I came across a woman's account from two years ago, who claimed she got violently seasick from the sudden rocking motions of the ship - she was the only one in her party to notice any such movement. That really got me thinking, so I took my own accounts a lot more seriously then.

All weirdness aside it was great visiting with you, too! :D

Which room were you staying in? We went on the actual tour on Monday and the guy said the ghosts liked his tour but hated the whole ghosts & legends thing. I was in B472, and in an old hallway I had to pass by to get to my room I always got chills and once heard doors in a corridor unlock even though there was no one there. Turns out the room Keith and Kendra were in, B432, was haunted by a man frequently.

We were in A131 which as far as I know is not home to any particular ghost story (until now I guess). B340 was definitely a weird one - that's probably the one you passed that gave you the chills.

I don't know what the tour we were on was officially called. All I can tell you is things such as the following: they filled the pool with stage smoke, played recorded screams, had strands of yarn dangling from the ceiling in a dark hallway (so it would feel as if someone was touching you), a waterfall triggered to appear like water was rushing into the hull, and other such special effects. It was not the serious and informative tour I had hoped for, and was only about a 1/2 hour long. Still, it was pretty hilarious in a Disneyland sort of way. :P

That was the ghosts & legends tour, I was on it Friday night as well. B340 is at the opposite end of the ship from B432, which is in the corridor that creeped me out. I went to B340 several times, sometimes feeling nothing, and sometimes getting really squicky about it. Placing my hand on the door made that arm tingle up to my elbow for several hours, and putting my ear to it I heard a hum and it sounded like a TV was on low volume.
