Well, I've finally gone and done it; I got a life. Well, a Second Life, at least. It's really cool, and it's free now, so that's nice. :)

Lindens. It's SL currency.

What's neat is that it's actually got an exchange rate, which means you can turn SL money into real money, & vice-versa! So there are places online where you can switch out money; but it's not a good exchange rate, it's something like 500 Lindens to every dollar or something. More than that, I think really.

What worries me is you have to setup a payment agreement, even for the free version. You do it through PayPal or Credit Card, and it basically means that they can bill you whenever they want; so, you have to be careful not to unintentionally do something that would pull out money (although I think they alert you, and they can't pull anything out without it being something you've actually requested).
