Okay, so the lovely Maggie's LJ post reminded me that I should really get out in front of this bus to give everyone the heads up that we are more than likely not going to Otakon this year. :( For quite a while now, we've been itching to go see Dragoncon but had never been able to because 1) the labor day weekend timing sucks for school schedules,

reagan! speaking of all this, i wanted to tell you that i finally went to my first con ~evar~ and it was really fun! i wished you there to blow the Pacific Northwest away with your awesome cosplay BUT MAYBE SOMEDAY, RIGHT? :D anyway i just wanted to tell you, because it was so fun. woo!

You know what’s funny is that all my con going friends not from the Boston group have been telling me for the past two years that Dragon Con is where the fun is at. So I have to admit I’m more than tempted to throw my hat in for going there this year. Though I’d like to know more about your plans and if you’d even have space for me to join you? Before making any more plans (or buying any more non-refundable pre-reg’s ^_^).

As for Anime Boston I’d say I probably shouldn’t go. I only just found out tonight from a customer that the con wasn’t already over. So that goes to show how on the ball I am. I just don’t think I’ll be able to shoe horn together travel plans fast enough I mean, where would I stay? Where would I store my car? How would I stop myself from trying to make a costume from scratch? All of these things add up to not enough time especially considering I’d need to book off from work before the end of this week to get the time. :(

Oh man, that'd be fun!! :) DC is Sept 4th - 7th (Labor Day Weekend) and actually lasts through Monday. I think we're gonna need to go down thursday night though to stay through the weekend. The room situation might be a little tight, since we only booked a single room back when we thought less people were coming, so to be honest I think I'm gonna check into doing a second one so that we'll be sure to have enough space (crossing my fingers that they're still available).

Also if I do end up going to Dragon Con and there is a Dexter group can I be Mom? Seriously cosplaying with a pilow stuffed down the back of your pants sounds awesome. O_o

Yay Dragon-con. Btw I know I put you down for a comped badge, but neither tuan nor I new scones last name so I'm not sure how he resolved that. Keep in mind that this means you can't get your badge through the regular line you have to go to the customer service line where press and associates pick up badges.
