Holy crap was that a long weekend!  I'm constantly amazed at how my friends have dwindled down to so few.  We basically were at home the entire holiday weekend except for a trip to the store.  One always imagines everyone else having so much fun, but does that really happen?

It was certainly worth the hassle of getting up very early to view the lunar eclipse.  As any good lover of all things dark, something like that would be a pity to miss.  The full moon became a dark orange, and hung in the western sky like a Halloween lollipop.  The early morning sky here was cloudless, so this eclipse was magnificent.  All the ( Read more... )

Knee jerk reaction today.  "Bram Stoker's Dracula" is releasing a special edition DVD in October.  When I saw it, I felt I had to have it, even though I own the previous edition.  Supposedly there will be some extras on this edition.  There were NONE on the first.
