::smiles:: It's a hopeless business, you know. You shall never be anything but perfectly charming under all circumstances!

Oh, Mina, you are too terribly kind to me! No, I'm sure they all think I'm perfectly wretched.

Hello Lucy, Hello Mina! You may call me Cathy. *smiles!* There are some chairs by the fire that are not *too* dusty. I keep complaining about the lack of service here, but nothing seems to be getting done about it. *sighs*
But it is certainly a pleasure to find more female company in this strange place! *whispers* some of these men are rather...strange. I sleep with my door locked.
*clears her throat softly* I hope you will be joining us in the parlor for tea! Such tea that there is...

...

*sighs*

::smiles warmly:: Hello, Cathy! It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I, too, have noticed the surprising lack of service, although I assumed it had something to do with the lateness of the hour?

I'm afraid Lucy and I haven't met many of the guests yet, so I will have to take your word for it. However, I must ask...how do you mean, strange men?

::laughs softly:: We shall all muddle through, I suppose.

Offers the two of them a weak smile, dipping his chin. "Evening, Ladies. A pleasure to meet you both. Might I suggest that a room is found soon, for it seems that this mansion is filling up quite quickly."

::Lucy smiles at him, brightly, and curtsies again::

And a pleasure to meet you, too, Mr...I'm not sure I caught your name?

Oh, if it comes down to all that, I'm sure Mina and I can share a room. We are practically sisters, in any case!

Practically sisters, yes. Of course... ::Trails off a moment at a hush in his ear, and looks away briefly. Clears his throat uncomfortably and looks back:: Jekyll. Doctor Henry Jekyll. But please, call me Henry.

::Notices the strangeness but decides not to comment on it::

Oh - are you sure that would be proper of me? Of course, if you wish for me to call you Henry, I will, I won't be disagreeable, but...are you sure you'd rather that than Dr. Jekyll?

::smiles and cursties in return:: Hello, Miss Westerna... My name is Christine. I'm rather new here as well, but most people seem to be very nice... ::looks nervous:: I--I do hope to meet your acquaintence.

::she beams:: It's such a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Christine - I do hope you don't mind my calling you Christine - and please, do call me Lucy. Everyone has been so very inviting so far.
