Yay! No more floor mattress :P

Carpets can be darned nasty damned things...I personally prefer hard floors as they are easier for me to keep clean.

What kind of ceiling finish are you planning to use? What is bochord?

Yes!
I mean, not that there's anything wrong with a floor mattress. I was content. But still, a bed is nice.

Yeah, I remember how nice (and horrifying) it was ripping up all the carpets in the old place a few years ago. We might do that here at some point, but in the meantime, the steaming really helped a lot.

Bochord is a medieval word for library. It literally means "book hoard." I'm bringing it back!

We're not sure what we're going to do with the ceilings yet. If the problem is just a lack of primer we might prime and re-paint it. If the problem is calcimine, we'll probably go with faux tin tiles. Actually, we might go with faux tin tiles either way - those things are pretty awesome, and would go well in this house.

Bochard is definitely a good word to describe my collection of books...I shall now be using it myself.

Faux tin tiles would, I think, work well with the classic home you have.
