Famous Person *Poll*

Ok, this is just a general poll about "famous" people.... actors/musicians/etc.

Do you, think Famous People are "real" people?  Or do you think that they are there to entertain you on a 24/7 basis?

This is one where I'd have to say that I can't easily answer. I know plenty of non-celebrities that I don't consider "real people" because there is little to nothing to their personalities besides their need to fit in and be accepted by other people. As a result their entire personality ends up being dictated by others. Hense they aren't "real" because there is nothing to them but the image they put on to please other people. Hell, in my graduating class in high school, there were only 10 people I considered real, and only one female.

Since it happens with "normal" people, it probably happens with celebrities as well. In fact, I'd even go so far as to say that there is probably a higher chance of this happening with celebrities due to the fact that their entire career is focused on impressing the public.

That being said, I'm also sure there are celebrities that are relatively normal people.

"Celebrities" start out as real people, but some of them don't stay that way. We see those kinds of train wrecks on TV every day.

I've never been impressed with "celebrity" per se, being a performer myself. There are a fair number of "famous" people I went to school with and while some are genuinely talented, others were just in the right place at the right time.

Hell, *I've* been on the receiving end of "OMG - You're that actress - Wendy-Something!!!!" and "OMG - You're MNINSTROSITY! I have one of your albums bootlegged!". (We laughed but made him buy a real copy anyway)
