Bela/Farin drabble

Travelling is always inspiring for me. For some reason I can't read more than a few pages from a book, even if the journey is very long, but I always get lost in thoughts and get ideas for stories, songs, whatever. The following drabble was written on the train from Hamburg to Berlin a couple of weeks ago.

Title: Like father, like son
Characters: Bela B, Farin Urlaub
Prompts: 027 - Parents; 028 - Children
Word Count: 200
Rating: G
Author's Notes: Double drabble featuring 2 prompts. The slash is so vague it's almost canon.

Disclaimer: this is a work of fiction. The people portrayed in this story are real, but I use their "public personas" as if they were fictional characters. No libel or copyright infringement intended.

"Sometimes I think I'd like to become a father."

Farin, who had been about to take a sip of apfelschorle, stopped mid-movement.

"What?"

"Just for the eyes, you know."

Farin only stared.

Bela shrugged. "My eyes are so beautiful, it would be a waste if I didn't pass them on to someone before I die."

Farin put the bottle down on the table. "That's not a valid reason to decide to have a child. And you can't be sure they'll have your eyes, maybe they'll just have your nose, poor baby."

"Haha, what about a kid with your teeth?"

"I'm not the one raving about procreating just because I want random parts of myself to go on living after my death."

"I'm sure my son would be the coolest kid in the neighbourhood. And if you had one too they could play together. A little Bela and a little Farin. They may even make their own band when they grow up, Die Ärzte of the new millennium. We'll have to talk Rod into this too."

"And what if you have a daughter and my son wants to screw her?"

"Like father, like son?"

Farin's eyebrow twitched upwards. "You know me."
