Honey, the phone's ringing... wait, no, that's my ears...

So, I have had a really bad ringing in my right ear for the past three days.  Yesterday morning when I woke up it felt like I had a wad of cotton down inside them... and tapping on the right side of my head produced a somewhat numb feeling.  The left ear felt a bit "full"... but the right one was the worst.  Kind of like having water in your ears ( Read more... )

Lord love a duck, the ringing in the ears sucks! I experience that (and myriad other "noises") fairly loudly all the time. I don't notice it very much at all with my processor on one ear and my hearing aid in the other, but when I take my processor off and my hearing aid out and I'm lying in bed at night, it's never "quiet". (it's pretty darn loud, actually) I'm glad it's just temporary for you.

I hope you kick teh ear infection quick-like! I love you! *big hugs*

"Lord love a duck"... I haven't heard that expression in years! Thanks for making me laugh!

And thanks for the commiseration (I'm glad your processor helps matters).

I'm glad you caught it before it got really really bad! Stuff like that can also cause vertigo and vertigo isn't fun at all!

Feel better xoxo

Thanks! Actually I had a really bad one when I was just out of college... I was a proofreader and one day the letters stood up off the page and began dancing in circles... then my head fell forward on the desk and I couldn't tell it was laying down. My editor and a coworker helped me to the urgent care doctor (literally on the next block thank God) who thought I was on something because I didn't have a fever or have any other symptoms. I remember retorting something like, "I have vertigo, stupid, excuse the sentiment, but use your MD and look in my ears!" He did, and boy was he surprised! (and yes, I was young and hopping mad and really did say that).

So, when this came up I knew I didn't want to go any further with it. No more vertigo for me... that is a terrible feeling!

Candy?? what's that one for? I'm particularly fond of Vicodin .... lol... ear problems suck... i'm glad its getting better.

Ryan and I saw Indiana on Sunday, it was pretty cool.

When my nose becomes a snot factory, i stick wads of toilet paper or klenox up each nostril and change it out after the ends outside of my nostril has become damp. This allows my nose the rest needed to keep from getting red and raw.

Only you could come up with a way to deal with the "snot factory" and make it work! I'd look like an Ewok with horns coming out my nose... LOL!
