They actually turned out really well, I am very happy. I was super tired last night or I would probably have put on chocolate chips for eyes (or eye holes) but they are still instantly recognizable for what they are. So we definitely must put the cookie cutter to use again this summer.

Yay! Yeah, I think admissions would have them since I bought mine at the admission outlet thing at the Bay.

I'm very sorry that my comments were unfair and hurtful. I should perhaps have read further in the journal before commenting, but I succumbed to one of the temptations of the internet, which is to rant too quickly about something about which one has strong opinions and insufficient facts. I hope that you and your family will accept my apology.

In my own defence, many parents often make remarks which are intended as teasing and which can be extremely hurtful to their children, sometimes for years later. Although these particular children may be well-adjusted, the exact same terms used by parents of other children could be felt to be hurtful. And calling one's daughter impertinent on a public forum, rather than one's own journal where presumably most readers already know the family jokes, etc., with no context, might not make the best impression. I hope you will understand why I reacted as I did.

I am immediately removing the offending portion of this journal entry but I will leave the comments. Once again, I apologize.
