OK WARNING! I've had a bad week so this is what I've come up with-a scary story. Shades of the 'Night' chapter here-reference to past abuse and nightmares. Skip if you want.

Ennis was going to Chicago. It had to happen sooner or later.

Well written but scary. I hoped it was only a bad dream; that OMT wasn't going to be able to hurt Jack ever again. Thinking back, didn't he die in prison?
And Ennis catching on quickly to what had happened in Jack's nightmare, reassuring him that he wasn't ever going to be left behind.

Did he die in prison? Did I write that? I mean I know I could have done, I honestly dont remember!! Thankfully it was just a dream anway.
Had to think to work out what OMT was!

Thanks to you and everyone else for the encouraging comments. I always feel kinda guilty when I do dark stuff with my normally fluffly and light boys!

God damn that bastard ! Look what he did to such a fine young man, such a beautiful soul !! I shouldn't say this, I know is very bad, but that's how I feel right now: can I kill him ? Slowly and painfuly !! What if Jack didn't have Ennis to take care of him, love him, comfort him, watch his dreams... adn those awful nightmares ??

Sqqueeel with delight. Wonderful! A nightmare, but kinda a premonition too. I was so worried, phew.

A living hell...

"Bad boy" the man said, "Filthy, dirty faggot" and he raised the oar in one arm and the broken bottle in the other.....

But then salvation:

"You know Chicago?" Jack asked tentatively.

Ennis nodded. He'd agreed at work that day that he'd go on the 4 day conference in 3 months time.

"Can I come?" Jack asked.
