*Ryoji is obviously upset. He hasn't been sleeping well, if at all. He's just...incredibly glum-looking, not at all his cheery self.*

I...

I have a question.

*he shifts uncomfortably, not looking at the screen anymore.* I know there's some of you in Somarium that aren't human. I need your advice. I'm...well. I'll go into detail later.

*Manages a smile for her* It's nothing to worry about, Alice. I'll be okay. I just...need to get a lot off my chest.

Heh...I don't know. You're busy enough just being a kid. *at least he's smiling again though!*

What a tease.

What kind on non-human did you need?

It doesn't really matter. I mean...just anyone would do, I think. Especially those who live among humans.

What is your issue, then?

I've spent the last six months living as a human.

...I just remembered that I'm very much not.

'Human' is a very vague definition.

What do you mean? *never heard of the term 'human' being vague before. You either are or you're not, right?*

There are different classes of human, aren't there? As I'm sure you've seen here, there are still those who are 'human' but possess abilities resembling magic. While 'warlock' and 'human' don't exactly conjure up the same images, a warlock at least assumes the form of a human and should has mostly the same constitution as one.

I'm not exactly human myself, and did find it conflicting for a long time.

I'd be happy to help you if I can.

Really?

...How did you manage? Have you always known?

Yes. I was born as a replacement for someone else, so I always felt that my only purpose was to live as him and that my own life was meaningless because I was replaceable, too.

That's not true, though! Every person's life has meaning, whether or not they're the same as a conventional human being or not. No one can be replaced. When I realized that, being a replica no longer made me feel expendable.

I don't know what sort of conflict you've been having with yourself, but... I'm sure it doesn't matter to your friends if you're exactly the same as they are, does it?
