[Balin's sitting on the porch of his house. He should be at work today, but considering that he was wounded considerably during Keine's crazed rampage last night, he's taking the day off. Those wounds are pretty obvious, too; some bruises, a few bandages, some tinged red. His physical training uniform looks a little banged up.]

[He's got a cup of coffee sitting on the ground next to him as he quietly stares at a hand held before him. Suddenly, light erupts from his hand, twisting and taking the form of a blue-glowing ideograph floating in mid-air, about as large as his head:]
