I'm not really in a mood to post lately, but there were a few things I wanted to write down before they leave me.

I dragged the skate equipment out to Auburn today and skated around the park.   I fell just once early on, but it didn't hurt and I was glad to get it out of the way.  I adjusted to the width of the wheels pretty easily, but there are  ( Read more... )

Ha, I would, but Chris and I have had that discussion. If I get a tattoo, he gets to be the one to tell my mom. After THAT hellfire is done raining down on me, he's telling his mom.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!! Yeah, I at least have my sister who got a tattoo years ago, and didn't really tell my parents. They found out about it maybe 4 years ago, (she's 37 now) and there wasn't any real fallout, I'm figuring because of the whole, "you're an adult" thing. :) My main issue is that I gain and lose weight fairly constantly, and what's *that* going to do to one?

Just to but in from a frequent tattooer - if you get one on a spot that doesn't really gain weight (shoulder blade, neck, wrist, foot) your tattoo should be fine. I have 4 tattoos and working on my 5th which is a wrist to elbow sleeve. I've gone through the gain and loss of weight through 3 pregnancies and not had any distortion.

The watermelon won't work, our summers aren't long enough. I'm not sure about the peppers and the carrots should do great if you avoid pests. Everything else should work wonderful. For next year though, mothers day is the weekend to do planting here in the Northwest. It's become a tradition to go buy starts and seeds on mother day and spend the weekend as a family planting.

Good to know on the watermelon. odd that they sell it up here, though...

If we'd had the fundsto do it in may, it would have been done. We know we won't have as huge a garden as we would had we planted earlier, but we should still get something.

Oh yeah you'll definitely have a few squash and zucchini, pumpkin, peas beans, tomatoes. Last year I got about 5 little pumpkins and 3 butternut squash. They sell watermelon for green houses mostly. If you can cover your watermelon with a clear plastic vented bubble you might get watermelon.
