about hidden treasures

just... okay. sometimes it just flows. God help me that it would go that way with the monster of a fic I am doing at the moment.

Maybe this drabble is not that good, probably pointless and way too sappy, but it was easy: 10 minutes and the first draft was 101 words. It just wanted to get out, who am I to fight it?

In Plain Sight, 100 words drabble, No pairing, Gen

If someone asks? It's a coincidence. He's a creature of habit, like everyone, and he just happens to pass next to it every day. That is it. End of story.

Never, not even on his dying bed, will he admit that his heart flutters every time he walks past the rock near the curve in the path.

Maybe someone will have picked it up. Maybe the rain will have made it fall. An animal maybe ate it.

But it hangs on, a delicate white orchid, in plain sight if someone bothers to take notice.

His mama would have loved it.

drabble, fic, lost
