Master Art Post for Apocarising
I signed up for the art portion of the apocabigbang , too, and this post is the result!
The story I worked for is action packed and riveting. I really recommend it if you have any interest in the apocalypse, Stargate Atlantis style, set in an Alternate Universe that is slightly different from the show.
Apocarising by sian1359 A tale of horror and redemption, loss and love. How will Major John Sheppard, an on leave Air Force pilot, survive the end of the world? And survive meeting Doctor Rodney McKay? What are the secrets of Area 51? The secrets of the Wraith? (How does the author fit Michael, Teyla, and Ronon into a story that takes place on Earth, with the SGC never going to Atlantis?

My favorite scene of the fic is the very beginning, where Sheppard who's on leave with friends, (knowing nothing of the Stargate program) is flying a little civil helicopter and has to dodge Wraith darts. We meet Rodney soon after. The whole thing kept me on the edge of my seat, totally riveting.
As for the main art piece, the image I could not shake was one the Wraith, showing one day above Earth and darts culling all over. No warning, no negotiation, they just came and served themselves in a all you can eat Terran buffet. That's what I tried to illustrate here, the fact that they hit all over at the same time.
