The story is fascinating, and you say so much in such a small space. I'd never considered Sawyer to be so rigidly divided, and yet it's easy to see the way you say it.

I'm downloading the song, too, the story behind it is interesting as well. Thank you!

you know, I don't think he's so rigidly divided either, but it was fun to explore, in view of the song...

I hope you could listen to the song ok? I took it out of my iTunes directly, and I used to save the songs under a different format than mp3.

if it doesn't work for you, tell me and I'll convert into a more friendly format with http://www.zamzar.com/

Can I tell you how happy it makes me that you found my little prompt inspiring? Thank you so much for the essay on the song - I loved it as much as the song itself.

James and Sawyer, I've been playing with that duality myself for some time now. I wonder if how self aware of this division James/Sawyer is. I'd say he can feel it, but to think about it is to acknowledge that James still exists and I think that's something he doesn't want to think about too much, it's bound to cause so much pain.

Thank you so much, Lou :)

YAY! I am glad you liked it, honey. I had much fun researching the song, and I am glad the explanation didn't bore you to death! lol!

I do think that he is aware of his own division, and that he uses it as a coping/defense mechanism to bury James deep inside to avoid the pain.

thank YOU sweetie. ♥

You know, he really is like two different people, Sawyer is almost unedited, he just does what he has to do, end of story, but James, he's the voice of reason, he's the "good" one, he's the one that almost wants rules.

James is fighting to get out because it's time that Sawyer took a powder and let his light shine, or better yet, let the JAMES IN HIM come out.

Love it!!

yes, I do think that the faith of the other survivors, that he has friends now makes the James more and more ready to take his place.

I am so happy that you liked this! ♥

I've always thought there was a duality there and this describes it so well. Thanks for sharing!

glad it worked for you! I had never thought about it in that way either, but it's crazy what can suddenly pop up to be written ;)
