Hahahaha! I really don't have mad sewing skills, but I stoically stitch away at things that need fixing. I can't fix these rips with a machine, so I'm doing it by hand. I end up doing a lot of sewing/patching on horse blankets, and my husband's jeans because both are expensive but seem to get destroyed regularly.

The actor Gillian Anderson, when interviewed, speaks with an English accent when in Britain and an American accent in the US.

Maybe this is a lot more common than I realized. For the longest time, I didn't even know that Christian Bale was British, because he is always playing an American in films.

There was also that other English actor, can't remember his name - but he was the main character in Roger Rabbit (other than the cartoons). I have no idea how they can mimic neutral American speech. I can pretend to be a mountain man or a Southern belle, but it's pretty campy.
