Well, this will be the first Christmas without my mom.  Well, without her being physiclally here.  She had Alzheimers and died in January.  It's been almost a year now.  Mom loved Christmas, she loved being able to give presents to her family.  She even picked out the presents for me the last Christmas before we had to place her in a nursing home

I feel for you, as mine passed this past Thanksgiving. I can do nothing but send my emotional support and virtual hugs.

Right back at yah. I used to buy her shirts and sweatshirts that had cats, dogs or birds on them. She just loved them. She wore them out. Now I see a shirt she would like and wish I could buy it for her. Maybe next year I will buy one and give it to Goodwill or the Salvation Army. I think she would like that. Her clothes when to Good Will but the blankets and stuffed animals we got her while she was in the nursing home we gave to them for the other residents in the Dimentia Wing where she lived. It's what she would have wanted. So here are some hugs for you and the hope that you can remember the good times you had soon without the pain.
