Dulaney Crescent is an apartment building about .6 mi. from Goucher. Then there's Dulaney Valley which is an apartment building directly across from Goucher.
What probably happened is there was some issue with reading the name or something so they couldn't put it on the card. When I first got my card 2 years ago I had all of my roommate's contact info, but he only had my name and home address. It's not too big a deal. I'd suggest either calling Goucher to ask them to look it up, or just take the leap and call the number and introduce yourself. Good luck, see you in the Fall!
I actually ended up doing my research later. So that is what I eventually learned. Do you know anyone who lived in these before? Did they like them? I ended up calling as well and I got her mother...but I got all the info I needed.
Thanks for the infor and I hope to see you in the fall!
Okay, thanks. I was just wondering if they were actually placing freshman off campus, as that would be odd. I hear they're supposed to be pretty nice, the apartments. Good luck!
The apartments are pretty nice! Big living areas, some have fire places, little kitchens, good stuff! The shlep to campus isnt that bad, a lot of folks use a bike to speed it up.
One major issue with the apartments is that normal people also live in the building. Students that live there sometimes get crap from their non-student neighbors for being noisy or having lots of people over. But I've never heard of any major issues.
Thanks for the info. I actually enjoy walking so it shouldn't be a big thang for me. The one thing I am worried about is not being able to meet alot of the students because I'll be off campus. Though, since there will probably be other Goucher students there, I shouldn't have a problem.
If you hang around campus those first two weeks, you'll meet enough people you like to keep you in all sorts of pleasant campus loops. Also, classes in your major will probably reveal some kindred spirits. Do you know what you're going to study?
