Glass half full or half empty?

It seems to me that, on some level, life is all about your expectations. For example, the whole idea of a glass being half empty or half full. I think the world has that analogy backward. The person with great expectations, which are a curse, sees a glass as ONLY half full. While someone with more modest expectations says the glass is ONLY half
