sorry to reveal myself as such a curmudgeon about these things, but pecan pies* and sweet potato and pumpkin pies just bore the hell out of me

I am only bored by bad pecan pies or ones from boxes that have that faint essence of cardboard about them. Or ones that have things other than the pecans and the goo in them. I do not like chocolate chips or oatmeal or liquor in my pecan pies. I bout as well go ahead and admit that I really only like pecan pies that I or somebody on Daddy's side of the family makes.

I have a friend who makes sweet potato pecan pie and it just makes my ass want to chew tobacco. It's like a futon - sucks as a sofa and sucks as a bed.
