I thought about posting this to the slugtribe list in case people are interested in talking concretely about specific stories (since I rarely get to talk about English science fiction face to face these days...), but I decided it wasn't really the purpose of the slugtribe list. :)

It will probably start a conversation about what makes a good/publishable story. That's useful for people on the list.
(I do feel strongly that one should NOT post long Jay-Lake-like essays about non-fiction-writing activities and one's intense self-regard. But now Jay has his blog for that and he has found an audience who seem to find that interesting.)
