Just back in St Louis after a brief trip to see the parents. I think I've reached the point where home isn't where my parents are any more. I agree with a lot of your thoughts on birthdays. Also, since I've spent my 3 last birthdays only around people I met recently (with some exceptions in the case of this year) it's hard to figure out what should happen...

edit to that: last year's birthday, upon closer reflection, was spend entirely on my own, wandering around Delhi, and chafing that I had promised several people that I would be cautious on my own, and so couldn't do anything funnnn!
