Q: Apart from Mint, do any herbs taste good with chocolate?
It's understood that a lot of spices work perfectly well.

I believe I may have had chocolate with Chinese herbs in it at some point in Hong Kong and I think it worked fairly well.

I reckon lavender, lemonbalm and possibly lemongrass (if that counts as a herb) would work. I think other herbs such as basil,bay, thyme, sage, rosemary would taste too medicinal.

Of course, as a scientist the only way to find out would be empirical testing...

I think there was some lavender in that batch you got a while back. I recall it being most acceptable (assuming, I guess, that you like lavender)

there was defo some Geranium in there. That was odd but ok in a kind of floral drops way.

They have Earl Grey, which has been established as tasting a bit funny in a bad way. This throws their who collection into doubt :-)

Thyme and Rosemary. *Surely* it cannot work?

I was given a gorgeous bar of handmade chocolate with rosemary for my birthday a couple of years back.
