Just got back from a short vacation. This might have been my last visit to the cottage. It looks like there is no choice but to sell it. I know that is the practical thing to do given the changes my family is going through, but it will be difficult to see the place go ( Read more... )

Mmmm, sepia toned goodness.

I know how you feel about the cottage - my grandfather's lakehouse was sold almost immediately after he passed away. No more teasing the fish or collecting pebbles or watching his multitude of lilac bushes bloom. Sigh.

It is amazing how we form attachments to places. Leaving land is sorta like breaking up with someone.

Love the stills. And it really is the worst when you lose family land or a family home. So, I'm really sorry to hear that you have to say goodbye to the family cottage! But maybe the film will gross sooo much that you can buy it back straightaway!
