This post is probably quite boring. I'm just using it mostly to keep track of the things I need to do in preparation for launching the boat.

Essential for Launch

I just replaced the bilge pump diaphragm, and fixed all the engine bits that seemed like they might be leaking oil after work today (though I forgot to reconnect the throttle after replacing the fuel pump gasket; thing kept getting in the way). I also pumped a whole mess of water out of the bilge.

Plans for tomorrow (day off work) are to paint the bottom, repack the stuffing box, tighten the engine intake through-hull, and rewire the battery->switch/engine part of the DC system. Assuming all that gets done, then I'll be looking to book a Thursday launch (Thursday being my other day off this week).

Once in the water, I'd like to grind down the bit of freezer that's stopping the cover crom closing properly, and give the sole, battery compartment, and engine compartment all a decent wipe down before moving everything back aboard.
