Bryant hadn't exactly been avoiding Savannah, except that if you came down to it, he pretty much had been. They'd spent a good portion of the weekend together and that had all been great, but then they'd parted ways and Bry had started to think, which only confused him. He was sure what they'd done had just been physical to her because he was an idiot and he wasn't sure how he felt about that or even what it was, exactly, that he wanted.
What he needed, he'd decided, was to just not see her for a bit and try and get things straight in his head. It had taken ages to get over the girl, after all, if he'd even ever managed it, and he wasn't sure what to do now.
The events of today put a halt to all of those thoughts, though. As much as he'd needed some time to just try and sort things out, right now what he really needed was to see her. To see her and hug her and never let go, because talking to Tris a few moments ago had only reminded him of his earlier thoughts... what if it had been Van?
That was all he could think about right now, about how lost he'd be if she'd been one of the missing students, and suddenly none of the horrible things Jeremy had reminded him of and none of his own confusion mattered.
They were best friends, if nothing else, and Bryant didn't want to just take that for granted anymore. He wanted to see her. So here he was, looking for his Van. He hadn't seen her around the common room, so he was hoping maybe she was in the Great Hall. It seemed logical, so now he was headed that way in hopes of running into her.
