Preston had often heard that Pureblooded, Voldemort-supporting women found the look of the Dark Mark on a man's forearm intoxicating. His father had bragged multiple times of his conquests that were sealed with the twisted-looking tattoo.
So, it was no wonder that the first person Preston wanted to show his to was Audrey.
Of course, he was having a hard time being proud of it. It really, really hurt. Sort of like a burning straight down to his bone, aching and making him frown more than he was accustomed to. He rang the bell to the home eagerly, then worried at his cloaked arm as he rubbed it gingerly through the thick material.
This had so better be worth it.
