Ellie wasn't trying to look suspicious as she circled around the greenhouses, peering in through the various spots of glass that weren't smudged or foggy beyond the point of vision. No, she just happened to look that way despite her every effort to not be sneaky.
It wasn't like she was doing anything wrong; she was a professor, after all! She had just as much business out and about as anyone else, right?
Hmm, yes. But not everyone was slipping around the corner, cautiously looking around in case someone was watching, with the intent of sneaking into the greenhouse and finding just the perfect plant. She wasn't stealing, as it would be rightfully returned tomorrow, but still; she didn't want to have to deal with explaining herself to anyone. And it would certainly ruin the surprise, now wouldn't it?
With a nibble to her lip, she took a deep breath and pushed in on the door. Thankfully, it creaked open and left the whole building open to her. Excellent.
