my day with my girls
so i read twilight yesterday/early this morning. started a bit after my girls left and finished at 6:45. now my thoughts, as unpopular as they may be
1) it felt like i was reading fan fiction, not bad fan fiction, mind, but still fan fiction. it was written for teenagers, seemingly with no hope for adults, i'm also a book snob. i did major in literature after all. bella was totally a GMPC (otherwise known as a wish fulfillment character)
2) becca was right, bella is the limit of my annoyance, i wanted to reach into the book and slap her
3)dee was right, team jacob, i actually took an almost dislike of jacob
4) and the previous leads into his one, ali was wrong. the vamps are pretentious and stuffy, sorry hun.
all that adds up to
5) if you guys weren't rabid about them i probably would not bother to keep reading the series, as it was the only reason i read it in on setting was because i have not had something new to read in quite a long time
had a great day with my girls. ali and just picked up saleem and i. just drove his convertible into the city. meat dee, becca and dave at vortex. omgsplosion! why have i never eaten there? it was quite tasty. yummy bacon cheese burger. melt in your mouth meat.......mmmm meat.
we hung out in little 5 for most of the day, window shopping and dodging sudden short downpours. went and got coffee at starbucks. much fun hanging out with my girls. i mis them so much! after that we came back to our place and played some mario kart.
we've (by that i mean the girls) have decided that we are going to get matching tattoos. gonna be black ight responsive ink, cause ali is gonna be a teacher starting in the fall (go ali!). we hope kat is with us on this and have vague planes to do it around x-mas. i will have to save lots of money.
