So the summer has been going really well. It feels good to have a job, and be a contributing member of society again. As much fun as it is to lay around the house and do nothing, there really is no feeling like the feeling of being productive. At least not to me

I love the stay at home dad thing. Not because it is progressive, but because when I think of the two of you, that is totally what would work.

Also, I think that marriages have a lot more to do with how hard two people are willing to work than with anything else. Much of the time younger people aren't willing to work as hard but that is for a whole plethora of reasons (not all bad either) that are not directly correlated with age. So Congrats and if anyone has anythign to say about it, quote the Bible ("Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young...")

Thanks Lauren :) I think Chad is going to make an awesome dad, and me... I will love my children with everything I have, but it's best to let the parent with common sense raise them, I think. And I will definitely remember that verse!

Amanda- Chad is not considering the Marine Corps, the Army, or the National Guard. Right now he's up in the air between the Navy and the Coast Guard (leaning CG now, but who knows if that will change?!) with Air Force as a last option.

Just don't let him go into the Marine Corps.
My dad's step-father was in the Army once, and dad asked him why he didn't join the Marines, and his step-father said, "Because when we were out running one mile, they were out running ten."
Not that I don't have faith in Chad...but it's definitely more demanding than any other branch.

And good for you about the "young marriage", I know you will defeat the odds given to you by elders.
