As far as I am aware there isn't a library. It would make for a good addition, though, despite the clutter.

Free books are generally better than paying for them, yeah, though...I think I'd prefer to keep mine if possible.

There was a bookstore that was run by a friend of mine; it's possible someone has continued the business after her disappearance. I did not bother to check.

Well, I did find a bookstore.

Can't imagine finding a new owner for her store was at the top of your priority list.

LOL I just realized their books in the first two comments match. Icha Icha Cooking? earth_uninstall September 29 2009, 05:46:51 UTC
No, it wasn't. I don't even like books.

Did the bookstore fulfill your needs?

Haven't been there yet.

No. They are too heavy and inconvenient, and the paper is prone to creasing and ripping. Eventually it will become unreadable from decay and the information will be lost.

I see. Then good luck for when you go.

And I'm sure you'll find it VERY tasty! <3 grab_my_bells September 29 2009, 06:50:57 UTC
That's the beauty of them, the way books age. But if they fall apart, there's always new printings.

Uh, thanks.

How is that beautiful? It is literally destroying itself because of its organic nature. And new printings cannot always be guaranteed; in fact, they should not even be counted upon.

You are welcome.

Beauty in the ephemeral? Though yeah, it is depressing to lose something of value, but nothing is eternal. And if the book is worth it, there's usually a reprint, yes.

That's for me to know and you to find out <3 earth_uninstall September 30 2009, 08:19:25 UTC
So something becomes beautiful to you when it is short lived. You are rather strange for thinking that.

I just have trouble imagining things lasting forever.

What do you find beautiful, Aurora?

You gotta work to earn a piece of this, mister <3 earth_uninstall September 30 2009, 09:01:30 UTC
Forever is not a difficult concept to understand, though I wonder if there is truly anything that could last that long.

That is not something I think I can answer.

Ohoho! A challenge, hm? <3 grab_my_bells September 30 2009, 09:05:26 UTC
Exactly. The trouble I have isn't with the concept, it's with imagining any actuality from the concept.

Why not?

It would be nice if there was something eternal, wouldn't it. Something constant despite the natural changes of the world.

I am not sure what I consider beautiful.

I see. Maybe you'll discover that here.
