You said there were packs? How many did you see in a pack? And did you see a main method of attack?

Most don't carry weapons. If anything, I'd say they're trying to bite, scratch...maybe even pull you limb from limb. I'm not sure.

Packs so far ranged from 5-10. They don't travel in too big of packs that I've seen, but if you get backed into a corner, more show up. They're like vultures.

Yeah, zombies. I can't smell anything, but when I flew a little lower they looked pretty dead to me. Plus, shambling and moaning and having bits falling off.

Someone should be coming for the newborns if you're still in temp housing and want to go to the Wilderness. There should also be a barricade being set up.
