OKAY AHAH SO, A THING HAPPENED, AND REALLY, I HAVE TO SHARE THIS WITH YOU. because it is the fucking funniest and douchiest and most wonderful thing to ever happen to me.
Michelle, Michelle. I just. My face hurts from my smile, okay? You just make me smile loads, alright, and it's amazing and you're amazing and your friends are clearly fucking amazing. And I have a feeling that this musical is something I need in my life. idk. You just love it so much and I want a smidge of that. Even a smidge. omg, I cannot handle how much I love you right now, swear to God.
OKAY i. love you. i am so happy you read this and COULD LOVE WITH ME!! I WISH I COULD TAKE YOU WITH ME, EVERYWHERE, WE WOULD HAVE SO MUCH FUN OMFG.
i love love love love love LOVE that you are interested in hair, WARNING it is an extremely atypical musical, like almost to the point where it doesn't make sense. like even if you listen to it first before seeing it onstage, you're still kind of ------HUHWHAT? it takes some processing, i think. reading the synopsis, possibly research if you don't know anything about US in the 60's because there are TONNNNS of pop culture references. BUT ONCE YOU GET IT, OMGGGGGGGGGGGG. aksljhfaklfjasfla mess you will be a mess you will be a MESS.
i'm totally planning on posting MORE ABOUT IT, because a few people were like i want that! buuuttt i totally have talked about it before, and it might get you interested if you ever feel like checking it out:
a post where i yap about hair; some of my feelings about it have changed since then, BUT there are downloads (go with the 2009 revival recording) and i

OMG THAT WOULD BE AMAZING. JUST, PUT ME IN YOUR POCKET AND CARRY ME AROUND, M'KAY? ♥
Guh, I am looking forward to just diving in headfirst and soaking this all up. it sounds so, idk, consuming and passion-filled. and i want it in my life; i love atypical things, especially when it comes to musicals. and it will be the best mess of my life! XD
jshdfhasfgrzsd god, i wanna click that link so bad but I have to dash into college. urgh. FIC! *glomps*
pps) it has consumed my life. it's ridiculous. i listen to it all the time. like ALL THE TIME. Ever After is my favourite because it's just this clash between Jason and Peter and it's like their whole relationship in two minutes and i can see it in my head and it hurts so bad but it's wonderful. and i'm singing along right now and yelling it out in my kitchen; there's no such thing as heroes who are QUEER! fucking yelling it. and then the piano. *dies

FUCKING AWESOMEEST STORY EVER. I FUCKING LOVED IT. NIGHTS LIKE THOSE, THEY ARE FUCKING ONE IN A MILLION. also, you are absolutely radiant in that picture. seriously.
OMG <333333333333333333 THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS WITH ME. and omg i love you for the picture comment, SERIOUSLY, i hate photos of any kind, especially when i'm douched out because a celebrity is touching me, SO THANK YOU, for making me feel like a million bucks. I ADORE YOU!!
Girl you made me HOWL with laughter. My teenage son even came out of his lair to see what was wrong with me. So happy that you had such an epic night. I think I need to see this show y/y?
Your friends sound really embarrassing WONDERFUL. And how many times did you all see the show in total, counting all your friends visits too?
HAHAH DUDE. I KEEP READING THIS, AND LOSING MY MIND LAUGHING. it is all so stupid and hilarious and i am obsessed with it, cannot believe any of it happened

LOL Have you come back down to earth yet? It's amazing how powerful live musicals/music/dance performances can be isn't it? I was thinking about this today having read your reaction and trying to remember the musicals I've seen - they are pretty much few and far between, I've seen a shit load of other stuff but only a few musicals and now that I think about it I remember that each one affected me a whole lot at the time.
I need to see more musicals. \o/
Thanks for sharing your experiences! And please, I think we all know a little bit about obsession, y? ;)
This is my new favorite LJ post OF ALL TIME. I feel like I can't even respond to it with the appropriate amount of *HANDS* and GLEE (BECAUSE THERE WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH OMFG).
I am so glad you were able to have such an insane, beautiful, AMAZING experience! I completely understand and sympathize your celebrity-avoidance--every time I've met "famous people", it turns into something I get so excruciatingly embarrassed about when I think back on it later--but YOU DID IT and what a great night to look back on years from now when you need a little of that JOY. EPIC LOVE.
OMG thank you so much! so much! i am so happy you could share in the glee! and hahahah the complete hilarity. ugh. i am still embarrassed! but you are so right. i am so glad it all went down; whaaaaatta night, damn.
you said you are going once more, yes? omg. GO ONSTAGE. GO OUT BACK. TELL EVERYONE YOU LOVE THEM. askljdakjlfafjlkfa ahhhhH!!! what amazing people! what a party! i hope you have the time of your life!
I read this post while on my lunch break at work and the rest of the day I walked around with probably the dorkiest smile ever on my face because I kept thinking back on this epic post. I really love what you wrote about the urgency and the frenetic need to experience this thing that you love SO MUCH as many times as physically/financially possible. That's exactly how I feel about this show. ♥
I went onstage in Chicago, but didn't really get a chance to talk to many people (although I did get to dance with Darius--YESSSSS) as I was with someone else who chose not to partake in the dance party .__. But those were some of the best five minutes of my recent life and I hope to recreate them in Schenectady next month. We're attending a performance that has a stage talk/q&a afterward...don't know what that's going to entail, but hopefully it won't impede any stage door lurking. :P Oh man I CAN'T WAIT.
OMG AGAIN. I WANT TO BE WITH YOU. SO WE CAN CLUTCH HANDS AND FLIP OUT AND TEAR UP A LIL. a q&a !!! a full report will be necessary!! i am pumped you get to be part of that. I HOPE YOU GET TO ASK A QUESTION. I HOPE IT IS THAT KIND OF Q&A!
also holy fuck you danced with darius. i do not even have words. WHAT A SEX POT. OMG. !!!! amazing!
