School is freaking awesome. I absolutely love it. My classes are: Elementary German, College Algebra/Pre Calc, and Intro to Shakespeare. German kicks ass but it moves at a super fast speed. College Algebra/Pre Calc I really hate. I mean the assignments and the work isn't bad but I absolutely hate my teachers, he's such an ass and we're reviewing the coordinate planes and all those formulas and he's all "it's better if you don't use the formula and figure it out a different way." And when he's trying to teach the class he goes off on tangents and in the middle of a problem he'll stop and all of a sudden lecture about Copernicus, he's so spastic. And Shakespeare is cool. The teacher is awesome and hella funny but I'm really loosing interest in Mr. Bill.
Dorm life kicks ass, way so much better then apt. life in Florida. My roomie is… well not what I expected. Kat's like my best friend up here, she's my wall-mate (she lives next door) she's minoring in German. She's the Haus Co-Prez and I'm Haus Secretary so we're a kick ass team. Every other Friday night we have movie night, which is when a group of us (mainly Keri, Jeni, Erin, Heather, Sarah and I) watch like 2 movies. It's pretty cool.
I'm also in Campus Girl Scouts (I'm Chairperson of Social Events!) which is cool, it's mainly a lot of community service and working with girl scout troops in surrounding areas and I'm secretary of the Haus government. Kat and I are part of the German club and every Wednesday the German Club sponsors Stammtich which is open to everyone in the community and we meet in the backroom of this restaurant in town and speak only German for an hour and 15 minutes. It's so awesome.
Other things:
- There's a male named Peter Pan that lives in Mountain Haus (the Haus next to us)
- Sarah, who lives across the hall, loves old movies and Frank Sinatra, "High Society" is one of her favorite movies!
- It is unbelievable how many girls in this school love Hanson. They're always playing on campus radio station and whenever I wear my Hanson sign necklace at least 3 ppl come up to me telling me how they love Hanson.
- I miss Gracie soooo much. Which is sad because I really don't miss anyone else at home more then her. Gracie is so awesome.
- and I miss hanging out with christabelle :)
- the food here is awesome!
- Kat loves soccer too so we always go play with the boys from Mountain Haus :)
- Nina has established my future job as her children's nanny, with a kick ass voice activated car!
- I honestly spent maybe six hours awake this whole weekend, I would have completely slept through it… if it wasn't for Kat and Ryan who kept waking me up.
- Does anyone want to come visit me?
