Apparently I was in "a mood" (read: inspired) and got a lot of emailing done!! At any rate Sue 2 is busy this week with a number of things, but I expressed my feelings toward my eventual goal to end up at Huron, and then asked ( Read more... )

Realize I'm miles behind the eight ball at this point and I have no idea how often you check this blog......but it depends on what you mean by evangelical......

If you mean evangelical in the stereotypical sense of "Believe in the Jebus or burn in hellfire for all eternity" then no.....

But if you mean in terms of living a life of faith, then in the brief time I've known you I'd have to say yes :D and thanks be to God for it! :)

I know this is an old post. I don't think I would consider you evangelical but I'm from the "Bible Belt" where that's not a good thing imo. In fact, it's one of the reasons I find it hard to believe in God now. But in a sense I think maybe my old views of "evangelical" are outdated. Maybe it's a new and living faith, and loving people as they are. Maybe it's sharing your faith in a way that the other person doesn't feel judged. If we think of it that way instead of a preaching hellfire for eternity to such an extent that you can feel the coals under your feet then yes. Sorry for the long response, and for the 6 months late response to be fair though we didn't know each other back then lol. I think I'll stick with the new definition I kind of like it.
