spam and spoofing

Apologies to anyone who's received spam from the email address associated with this journal. It appears I've been spoofed, rather than hacked. I'm not sure what, if anything, I can do about it -- but I'm open to suggestions!

Not much you can do that haven't already done. If you own the domain that the email is tied to, you can set up SPF & DKIM.

It usually goes away after a while on its own.

Thanks. It's just a yahoo address that I use for LJ and various fanfic archives. I wouldn't have known about the spoofing, except that many of the addresses it was trying to spam were so old that I got a bunch failed delivery messages!

And heh, only a damn fool doesn't appreciate the tech support guy.
