Rob and I went and saw Damageplan on Halloween. Not only did they put on an amazing show, but Dimebag ESPECIALLY seemed very down to earth and nice. I can proudly say that he gave Rob one of his picks - as in, hand-to-hand, and I spent the night wearing some of his beer (don't ask).

It's so awful that this is how he left the world. Some things are just senseless tragedies.

Thats really awesome you guys got to expierence him before he pasted on.
Its an awful awful situation.

Pantera was a HUGE part of my life growing up...not so much now, but I still treasure their talents.

Im so turn up by this.

Rob's inspiration was Dime...
The reason Rob picked up the guitar was Dimebag Darrell.
We almost didn't go to the show because we were so short on cash, but for some reason, I said, "No, you want this - we'll go." Thank God. It would have been awful had I caused Rob to miss out. We knew it was a wonderful opportunity to see them so up-close and personal (Floyd's has an interesting stage setup); but we didn't realize it would be out last opportunity.

Wow...I signed on to make that same post. Dimebag was one of the sickest guitar players ever. Pantera was my favorite metal band for years. Every album they put out would get harder and harder. Im really upset because Damageplan came to Jacksonville twice this year, and I missed both shows because I was too busy. Its been two days and I still cannot belive it. This is a HUGE loss.

He will be more than missed.

Thats crazy....I had compaired this to John Lennon when I heard about it.
Its so awful that people are selfish enough to rip someone amazing out of this world for no good reason.
