Dear Republicans,

You of all people should know that polls don't mean a thing... especially when it comes to convention bounces. After all, Michael Dukakis had a SEVENTEEN POINT LEAD over George H.W. Bush after the Democratic Convention in 1988, and look where that got him.

Love,
Grace

It's pretty convenient to call somebody bitter when you don't have a response because you know what they are saying is true.

But on the other hand, the picture IS sweet.

Okay. Come on. "Any semblance of support?" I'm not saying we're gonna win this election. And although the majority of recent polls DO put Kerry slightly in front of Bush, virtually all of them are within the margin of error, which therefore indicates that basically this is currently a dead heat. I am in no way trying to argue that Kerry has way more support in the American public than Bush does, but to suggest that Democrats are unable to maintain any "semblance of support" is absolutely ridiculous. Any smart, realistic, and levelheaded Republican would agree with me. All possible evidence points to the conclusion that Democrats have just as much support in America as Republicans do, including and especially the fact that we have won the popular vote (In case you didn't realize, that means that more Americans voted for the Democrat than the Republican) in the last three presidential elections.
