Yes, I think it was deserved. That's not to say Judy didn't do an amazing job, either. I'm sure it wasn't the first time that multiple deserving people were nominated for the same award, and it certainly won't be the last.

For the record, if the rumors are true (in my opinion, I think they are inflated), Judy acted like a spoiled, petulant child in the aftermath. Sore losers are not becoming.

Grace was nothing but professional and classy about the whole thing. Can't say the same for Judy.

I don´t know how Judy reacted. I am not sure if I believe what everybody´s writing. I, too, think that the press exaggerated the thing just because it would be a wonderful story.

I think she was upset (who wouldn´t be), but I don´t think she reacted like this.

But yes, Grace was very professional.
I think it would have been lovely if Grace and Judy met one day. Just to make the press shut up and I am sure they would have liked each other.

Yes, I kind of hate the subject but it creates a good talk.
No, I don´t mind at all. It will get more views on the whole thing than here.

Yes,I think she deserved it.Judy was wonderful in "A Star.." but so was Grace.I can´t help but think:This would never happen if they were Gene and Julian, not Grace and Judy.

I never saw it that way. But I think you´re right. I always have to think of something Meryl Streep said when she did "The Devil Wears Prada". When a woman acts like a boss and the way like Miranda she is a bitch. If a man does he´s a cool though guy à la Clint Eastwood.

Performance-wise, Judy Garland was better. But Oscars have never been just about quality and you could probably question every winner in history about whether they deserved it or not.

Plus, Grace was the young pretty ingenue and Oscar loves to give Best Actress to the young actresses.
