My...After so long of having this journal, I only start having issues with it. Here, I wrote this lovely post about my job and abotu this lovely Ming dynasty vase that I authenticated today, but it seems it was eaten. I think this journal would rather me ramble on my golf game instead. I have been doing well. 2 under par last time. I think I might ( Read more... )

I've had trouble posting now and then, it has something to do with switching between HTML and the already formatted posts.

Is under par good? I don't know anything about golf.

I usually don't have such issues. I think it was because I'm a little tired after a long day at work and I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing. But I thank you for the advice and I will make sure to pay more attention next time.

And underpar is very good. It means it took less swings to get the ball in the hole then the course says it should take. The less swings you take, the better.

Ming dynasty vase? Oh, cool. Are you into art, too?

Yes. Early Ming. It was a rather lovely piece and a good example of that style of pottery. And I suppose you could say I am. I work as an appraiser and authenicar of antiquities. Basically, I can tell if something is the real deal or not and how much it is worth. I can do other items, but my main forcus and what I live for, is artworks.

Do you paint? What's your period focus?

I paint very very well. It is an enjoyable passtime. As for my focal period, when it comes to paintings, I prefer the Impressionists. Though I do love the mid to late Renaissance and I've started to come to terms with the popularity of pop-art

My focus with pottery and sculpting is also in this realm, though I do enjoy the late Warring States Period of the Japanese as well as the Ming Dynasty.

It has been a while since I have been on a course. I think the last time I was in Scotland and the time before that was the US. Are there any good courses around worth wandering to for a game~?

Scotland is amazing for golf, as well is should be. It was the birthplace for the sport. I've not had the luxury of golfing in the US. Business kept me too busy there. However, here in Japan, I know of some good place, though most are elite private clubs. There are a few non-private courses, though those aren't as well maintained. If we ever meet, I can always invite you to one of the better courses as a guest.

Well you and I have a penchant for the same cup of coffee~ I'm sure our paths will cross in that little cafe at some point in time.
