my friends mom works for ibm, ive heard bad things...idk tho maybe youd be doing a different thing? i went to binghamton once...for a show, in the snow, there is alot of cows around there but we drov in reayl shitty weather and it wasnt so bad. a yways new platz being close to nyc is a plus...let me know how it turns out
Having visited both towns and both schools, I am casting my vote for New Paltz. For one, it's small town charm wins me over much more than Binghamton's (or should we actually say, Vestal's) shopping-mall like environment. Two, have you ever been to the NP Plaza Diner? I highly recommend it, just for the entertainment value of its prices (2.47 for a plate of french fries?). Three, I've known several people who attended Bingo and got depressed and came home...I've known nobody who did the same from NPizzy. Four, I'm not a fan of Binghamton's dining hall, and having to pay for each meal individually instead of swiping your card and eating a meal. Too stressful for my taste. Five, there are way too many U-turns in Binghamton.
...I know that most of these reasons are trivial, but I hope they at least make you giggle.
Also, I know what you mean about missing Albany...if you've been raised here, you never appreciate it until you leave. It's a strange phenomenon.
