Twilight

Finally got to do some reading over break.

I just devoured the Twilight books.

All I can say is...

Wow. I'm in love.

Anyone else love them as much as I did? It seems most of the people I have talked to haven't liked them, or read them!! I'm kind of disappointed.

Dude, I totally love them. I didn't want to love them, I don't know how I love them... but, yeah, I do. They're not great literature, and I could list their flaws for hours, but... it doesn't matter. I was casual at first. But somehow, my appreciation has grown. They're such fast, easy reads, but for some reason, they DO stay with you.

Also, I totally loved the movie. I know I'm going to get laughed off the face of the planet, but it was just my "brand" of campiness. (Well, you know I love "Dark Shadows." In my opinion, it's that level of ridiculous-/awesomeness.) I loved every second of it. And, yeah, you can go on and on about his awkward facial expressions and dirty hair, but I totally find RPattz hot. That's right, I said it. Did you see it yet?

I just got home from it a few hours ago. It wasn't as good as reading the book, but that man just makes me melt into a puddle. I thought the movie might be confusing for someone who has never read the book, and didn't really know what was going on... but I guess that isn't necessarily true, as my companion for the evening, that I dragged kicking and screaming, seemed to understand it, and sort of liked it.

Regardless, I know the books are a fast read, and full of horrible grammatical things, but OH MAN. I REALLY loved them. I'm not really sure why, but the plot line to me was just stunning, and I thought the was that their love was expressed in the books was so heartfelt that it just made me melt. I especially appreciated the not so sucky ending to each book, as well as the series. I'm sort of depressed that it's over with, to be honest.

What was your favorite book/ favorite part of reading them? I totally want to know. You're the ONLY person I know that's read/ liked them!!

Haha. Did you read Midnight Sun (the Twilight-from-Edward's-perspective thing) yet? It's only a fragment, and a lot of parts are reaallly rough, but, hell, I even enjoyed that. It made me appreciate Edward so much more. It's on the Stephenie Meyer website, and about 250 pages long. (I suck at life.) But, yeah, that definitely helped a little with my withdrawal ( ... )

Oh, the comment below is a reply to yours. it sucks at life doing that though.

By the way. My least favorite part of all of the books was that I saw this word in it:

I'd've

WTF! You can't do that. It's illegal in my brain!!!

I was getting around to reading the Midnight Sun... I'm kind of at a loss though because it's indefinitely on hold. I kind of REALLY want there to be more books, maybe with the continuation of life at Alice's perspective, or Rose, or even Edward (as Edward and Bella were really the thing that kept me glued to the books). I don't know if I can read the fragment without going batty... I was never much for reading things that didn't complete the storyline (that's why Harry Potter was so hard for me ( ... )

Hahaha... I don't really know... Is it weird that I find that quality appealing? I've always liked the taste of blood myself ( ... )
