I finally finished this yesterday. The other drawings I did were perspectively flat and this one was not, therefore, needing some skill in positioning lines. I had a photo to work off of, I can't come up with this stuff in my head, but what I didn't do was framing the houses with pencil before I applied the ink, giving me straighter lines. Will do about the perspective and movement. Maybe we can go out and draw a bit. Ooo, yeah!

I should come visit soon so we can go to those shows at the Crocker. The first week or so of May is open for me, how about you?

May! JC! You're a busy guy. Of course, just name the day and I'll get it on the calendar. Right now I have "clean the washing machine" listed as the only thing I need to accomplish during that week. You'll miss the Jacob Lawrence exhibit which ends April 7th but for sure we want to see The Roaming Eye and A Passionate Muse together which remain at the Crocker till May 12th.

How's Rikki? Surgery?

I'm glad you didn't draw your lines in with pencil to make them straight before you used ink. I like them like this - very lively - with personality!

Many thanks, Mary. I treasure your comments. You're so freewheeling when it comes to drawing. I envy you.
