Well it feels like Winter today!

Oct 13, 2006 15:10

Two nights ago we started getting snow and not the fluffy soft kind either. By the time yesterday had ended we had about 5 inches, two towns over had 8 and the UP got socked with 12!!! I just need to remind myself it is October 13. This was also the earliest recorded snowfall in MI!!!!

It seems to have snowed in a lot of places, yesterday. Indiana, Buffalo, a couple of my Canadian friends. It rained here, and I'm glad it wasn't snow!!

I have friends in gracehatter October 14 2006, 14:03:34 UTC
the Upper Pennisula of Michigan and they emailed that it felt like they were smack dab in the middle of winter! I marvel that just last weekend we were out boating, me in a sleeveless shirt and a gauze skirt and bare feet.

If you get tired of the snow, just send it down my way! We haven't had a decent snow in years. The last time I remember it was the day we moved into our house, and that was...5 or 6 years ago. Even then the most snow I've ever seen is just an inch or two.

Really, then I'll have to send you some November pictures and share it with you. Without fail for the last few years our land at Thanksgiving has been blanketed with tons of snow...Mother Nature at her finest!

It's all gone now gracehatter October 14 2006, 13:57:34 UTC
We are still having winds up to 60 mph but it's warmed up to 45 degrees. Very early for that kind of snow...I am not quite ready for it!!
