Well I'm glad I decided to clip off the tulip and daffodil blooms on Wed to bring in because it looks as though all of the forsythia flowers and lilac buds are frozen and will decidedly NOT be coming back. It is a whopping 27 degrees here and there is about an inch left of the snow we got over the last two days. I have had both stoves going for

And sure enough there is a little blue blob just outside of South Haven which is us...which would account for the 5 inches on my deck, you're probably sunning yourself up there in GR! Just to make myself happy I'm wearing my fur to the store...no time like the present to use it!

Actually, I'm south of you...; we've been getting dribbles of lake effect weather too. Just enough to wilt my bleeding hearts.

I covered the one lilac that had flower buds; I don't know that it will save it but I figured I had to try. The other one has had all its leaves frozen to bits, so I hope it doesn't keel over and die on me....
