Like many of my neighbors we are asking just what is going on. I have lived here for 24 years...never have I seen weather like this at this time of year. Global warming, I think it is at the very least a real possibility? I am curious to see if we will get the extreme high temps in May and June we have seen for the last 3 years, that too very much unlike the Springs of my childhood.
yea, it's 11am and it's coming down heavy!! ah well. I keep saying that it doesn't surprise me since it stayed warm so long. My husband said we need to have a calender savings time too!
Ok...all I can say is that when I was drivinggracehatterApril 11 2007, 22:23:46 UTC
to work today in Allegan County about 8:30a, it was scary as hell...very heavy, wet snow which really only let up about an hour ago. Crazy, yesterday evening I walked down to my pond and picked flowers that survived last weeks snow. This morning I dealt with this. My understanding is that the snow record was broken...not since 1923 had we gotten this much snow at this time of the year. I had already packed my winter clothes away but now I'm re-thinking that!! Now as I listen to the weather report...they are saying this time last year we were at 73 degrees AND that we can possibly expect thunder and lightning storms tonight since the temps have risen to 34 degrees. Sooo...what is Mother Nature doing in your neck of the woods?
