So I talked to a few people that had puppy litters, and knew of puppies for sale.. I can't decide between two!

Which puppy should I get? )

Um, I can't choose! Okay, the Yorkie cause I have known a few in my time and they've always been lovely dogs :)

I like them both. I love the Daschund because they have such big paws but I think I'd end up choosing the Yorkie. There's something about their fur that just makes me want to love them. :)

Personally, I'd pick the dachshund. I'm biased though because mine is the best dog I've ever had.

I must warn though, some dachshunds can have some pricey medical problems. Mine had to undergo back surgery about a year ago to have some calcium deposits removed from his spine that were digging into his spinal chord. Not all of them get that problem, but it is something to watch for.

It has to do with how their spines are longer than normal dogs, and the way they have to jump and climb things that winds up turning the spine right at the rib cage into a hinge joint. It's a pretty common procedure at animal hospitals, but they never really fully recover. Like I said, mine has been a year since his, and he's only up to about 90-95% from where he used to be.

Other than that, they are awesome and loyal dogs. Very smart and sneaky, but semi-hard headed and like to do things their way.

Good call, thanks!
I've also heard how yorkies have a tendency to have throat/dental problems. I guess every dog has their drawbacks, I didn't know that about daschunds though. Such a difficult decision!!
