This was an interesting one for me, because infidelity is, generally speaking, a major dislike for me. In fact, it becomes a pretty big squick when it involves my OTP cheating on one-another....which is exactly what I wrote.
H/D and James/Teddy are my two *big* HP ships, so it was a bit weird to be struck by such an urgent plot bunny. But I found the whole thing strangely enjoyable. I think because I didn't delve into the aftermath at all, it worked out okay. And the fact that it was actually inspired by a completely unrelated fic I'm working on. So it's sort of an AU of an AU of that fic...
I debated for a while about potentially changing the pairings, maybe making their primary pairings het, or maybe having James be with Scorpius for extra dirty feels,. But, in the end, I figured I'd go with my initial bunny.
I was a little nervous about posting it, because I know infidelity is a pretty common squick, especially when it comes to H/D. I definitely knew it wouldn't be a super popular entry, but I was really happy with all of the really wonderful comments I got. :D
